Statement of Purpose

To affect the future of Colusa County by supporting the kind of development that:

• protects farmland outside the existing communities’ sphere of influence,
• enhances the economic vitality of our existing communities,
• protects the ability of farmers to continue farming,
• preserves historic and cultural heritage of Colusa County,
• supports the ability of county government to provide health and safety services,
• protects the “rural” character and sense of community of Colusa County, &
• preserves and enhances quality of life for everyone in Colusa County.
